Star Tribune Advertising Exec Wants a Word With Me
April 23rd, 2008 Categories: Real Estate News
Ok. I’ll spew. Ok. I already did.
I told the Star Tuibune Advertising V.P. to call me back next Monday. She called me because of the following email that I sent her sales rep.
Please read this from the bottom up!
Hi Jennie,
Please remove me from your list. I am not interested in your services due to the negative press about home sales in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area from your company.
I am not speaking for anyone else in my market center. Just me.
Thank you,
Jeanie Hoholik

Quoting Market Center Administrator <Hello,
> In conjunction with Keller Williams, the Star Tribune is in the
> process of creating an advertising/billing account for each
> individual agent at your office. Individual accounts give you more
> specific billing details in a more timely manner.
> Once the new account is set up, any ads ordered online (via
> www.startribune.com/realtors) will be automatically routed to your
> new account.
>
> Billing Statements: You will be receiving a monthly statement with a
> list of your advertising and charges for the month. You can designate
> the office address or another address (i.e., home address) for your
> invoice to be sent to. The required account set up form is attached.
>
> Payment: For the payment of your ads, you have two options, monthly
> billing or prepayment via a credit card. To be eligible for monthly
> billing/credit, you must complete a standard credit application
> (attached) and be approved by our Credit dept. For prepayment, your
> credit card number will be securely assigned (credit card form
> attached) to your account and ALL ad transactions will automatically
> be billed to your credit card when you place your ad.
>
> Your paperwork can either be faxed in, e-mail over or I can be
> contacted via phone to take your account and credit card information.
> Thank you and please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Anyway, wonder what I’m going to say when I speak with the V.P.?
I’m a Realtor and have a chunk of clout in my Keller Williams Maple Grove Market Center. Not a huge chunk, but enough for this gal to call and ask my opinion.
Why should she want it?
One of her sales people came our market center and gave her (very good) spiel about advertising online with the the Star Tribune. A very nice young lady who is working hard at her job. I don’t have a thing against her. She was articulate and did her best to show our Realtors at Keller Williams in Maple Grove what she will do for us to enter our listings on the online advertisings for the weekends.
Am I mean? I don’t think so. But, you tell me.
