Count Down to the End of the Year…You Know, The “Best Of” Stuff!

Today is the first of the “Best Of’s” for me in my real estate business this year, 2008. I have some people and things that were-and are-very near and dear to my heart. I will share them with you until the end of the year.
OH, BY THE WAY…THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF MY BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE, NOT TO MENTION MY BUSINESS!

Aaron Boyer, First-Time Home Buyer
Aaron is a first-time home buyer that was recommended to me by my BNI buddy, Bridget Lorentz. She is a graphic artist and she has worked with Aaron at Digital River, a top notch internet software programming corporation, in Eden Prairie.

Golf Course Dream Home Without the Kitchen Sink in Eden Prairie

Eden Prairie Golf Course Hijinks
Yes, it’s true. We knew it before we saw the property. (Because I make an effort to inquire about properties that the bank owns, or I think it owns with the Realtor who lists this property.)
Some Realtors in the Minneapolis area, unfortunately, are not up front about the status of their listings…..BEWARE OF THAT!
It still was amazing when we arrived to see the lack of light fixtures, doors, appliances, and…no kidding…lack of a kitchen sink. The guy was serious when he vacated!
Who knows what really went “down”, but the bottom line is, we sure had a laugh seeing the equivalant to the movie, “Moving”, with Richard Prior.
Lesson: Call on every single property that you are going to show to your buyer. PERIOD.
